I'm so grateful you are taking the time to visit the Center For Spiritual Living Space Coast web site.

But, before you start exploring, think about a spiritual place you'd like to visit that welcomes people of all races, religions, sexual orientations and social backgrounds in dignity and love. A place where they believe in diversity and provide a multitude of opportunities for anyone, in any stage of life, to grow spiritually.

Imagine a place that communicates and celebrates the positive aspects of humankind, the world around us, and our relationship to the Power Within.

What would it be like to be a part of a spiritual community that is practical and provides tangible steps and programs for individuals and families to change and apply spiritual principles in their lives immediately?

What if you could find a place that is alive and exciting on Sundays -- one that leaves you feeling wonderful and optimistic about you and your life?

Well, look no further. You've found your spiritual home and it's waiting for you.

The Voice

The voice … always, always the voice. Sometimes it's like a drum pounding out its message with unrelenting intensity. And at other times it's as soft and gentle as the evening breeze rustling through the trees on a warm spring night. But always, always it's there, the voice that reminds us, "There is more, you can be more."

Jimmy hears it often. The drugs, the alcohol, and the parties can't drown it out. Even in the midst of a hangover, another night lost in memory, something deeper calls out to him. From the depths of his soul it whispers to him, " Jimmy, life is more than parties, more than getting high. Go beyond the surface, dive into life not death, Jimmy."

Matthew hears the voice, too. The high prestige job doesn't still it, nor do the perks that come with the job. It echoes through the big new house, and in the fancy new car with the latest CD system.  "Life isn't a collector's game. It's not about toys, Matthew. It's about love. Look at your wife, look at your children. Do you know them, do they know you? Embrace them while there is time, don't wait until all you have is a pocketful of regrets."

The voice speaks to Sally too, from Palm Springs, to St. Moritz, to La Jolla. On the golf course, the ski slope, or someone's big brass bed, Sally hears it. "Stop running, slow down, know you are lovable. Let it be Sally, let it be."

Do you hear the voice? Is it calling you to be more? Is it reminding you to love, to forgive, to reach out with compassion, to heal a relationship? To turn to God?
 
We know all about the voice. We are the Center for Spiritual Living Space Coast. We believe that each of us hears our own divine voice that needs to be honored,
blessed, and nurtured. We are here for you, not to put our words to your voice, or to tell you how to live. We are here to support you on your journey. Our mission is to honor the sacred in all of us, to love you just as you are, and to be present as you continue to unfold into the beauty that God wants you to be.
 
We respect all traditions; each has its own truth. We know there are many paths to the One Source, and we bless all of them. We are not about dogma. We are about love and the freedom to be what you are called to be.

We seek the wisdom of the Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad-Gita. All of the master teachers from Jesus to Buddha, from Mohammed to Gandhi, are respected in our house. Our founder Ernest Holmes reminded us, "to be open at the top," because truth is everywhere.

Marriage Equality Affirms Basic Human Rights

Centers for Spiritual Living, a trans-denominational spiritual organization that has been in existence for over eighty years, today affirmed its view that marriage equality is not about politics, but rather about basic human rights.

Rev. Dr. Kenn Gordon, Spiritual Leader of Centers for Spiritual Living, said, "We support marriage equality. We consider marriage equality a human right and see it, therefore, not as a political question but as a spiritual one."

Centers for Spiritual Living teaches that there is an essential unity underlying all apparent differences, and consequently honors all faiths, understanding that each religion has a golden thread of truth. "We believe that love is the foundation of all major religious philosophies, and therefore we support the expression of love in same-sex couples and the right of same-sex couples to marry," says Gordon.

Centers for Spiritual Living welcomes gays and lesbians into their spiritual centers. "We endeavor to get to the spiritual truth of the matter and through that lens we see that marriage equality is about human and civil rights."
